Specialist Prosthodontist

Dr Bevan Chong is a specialist prosthodontist with a distinguished career in clinical practice, education and professional leadership.

Bevan completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Otago, New Zealand, in 2005. After gaining valuable experience in both public and private practice across New Zealand and Australia, he pursued specialist prosthodontic training at the University of Sydney, where he was awarded his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Prosthodontics) in 2013. He holds membership of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in both Prosthodontics and Primary Dental Sciences.

With a strong commitment to education, Bevan has taught prosthodontics at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the University of Sydney and the University of Melbourne. He served as a specialist clinical educator and member of the Planning Committee for the Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Prosthodontics) programme at the University of Sydney, whilst maintaining a specialist position at Westmead Hospital. He continues to contribute to prosthodontic education through his involvement in the Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Prosthodontics) programme at the University of Melbourne. He is regularly invited to present on prosthodontic topics to his professional peers.

Bevan's expertise is recognised through his role as an invited reviewer for the International Journal of Prosthodontics. He is a Fellow and President-Elect of the Academy of Australian and New Zealand Prosthodontists (the leading organisation representing specialist prosthodontists across Australia and New Zealand), reflecting his dedication to advancing the specialty and supporting the prosthodontic community.
